“Keep Me in Perfect Peace”

“Keep Me in Perfect Peace”

Today's Verse:
“You will keep the mind that is dependent on You in perfect peace, for it is trusting in You.” - Isaiah 26:3 (HCSB)

We live in a restless world. It seems no matter where you turn noise and stress fill our lives. Finding peace is often times difficult. We all dream of a peaceful setting, maybe in the mountains, or on a private beach, but often times true peace is hard to find.

God has promised peace to those who trust in Him. This verse not only promises peace, but “perfect” peace. This is a constant peace; a peace that goes beyond natural understanding. It is the peace that settles in our heart even when the world around us is falling apart. This peace is not dependent on the situation. It is a peace that can come only from God.

How do you experience that kind of peace? This verse tells us that if we depend on God, then He will fill us with His peace. Depending on God is the expression of trust in God. It is a moment-by-moment reliance on Him. It is seeing God as the true source of all we need. It is a confession that God is good, and He can be trusted.

As you pray today, pray you would put your trust in God. Pray that you would not only obey God, but look to Him for all your needs for He cares for you. As you trust God on a moment-by-moment basis, you will experience peace like you have never experienced before as He takes you in The Father's hands and comfort you.

Sample Prayer:

Father, I ask you to let me experience Your perfect peace today. I decide to put my faith, trust and hope in You, You will cover me with Your constant peace. Thank You for this promise, as I receive the Grace to walk in Your peace today.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

"The Power of Joy!"

"The Power of Joy!"
"These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.... Ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full."(John 15:1116:24)

Whatever is happening in your life today, you need to stir up the joy that is within you as a born-again child of God. How can you do that? For start, begin by meditating on the Word of God. When you meditate on the Word and revelation begins to rise in your heart, joy comes! It comes because you begin to have a deeper and clearer knowledge of the Jesus. It comes because you realize you can go boldly before Him in prayer on the basis of the Word, and be confident your prayers will be answered. If you've been sorrowing over a wayward child, for example, you can replace your sad thoughts with a revelation of God's promise in Isaiah 54:13 "
All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children", and joy will come into your heart. Suddenly, instead of crying over what the devil is doing to that child, start shouting about what God will do. You laugh and say, "You might as well forget it, devil. Just pack up and go home right now, because as far as I'm concerned, the victory is won. All my children shall be taught of the Lord. And great shall be the peace of my children!" Then when the devil comes back at you and says, Maybe so, but aren't you sorry over all the years that child has wasted? you can shoot the Word right back at him and say, "No, I'm not sorry. I don't have to be sorry because Jesus bore my griefs and carried my sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). So I'll just go ahead and have myself a grand time rejoicing in Him!" Proverbs 15:23 says, "A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth." When you start answering the troubles and trials you're facing with the Word of God, it will release joy in you and run the devil off. He can't stand the joy of the Lord! So stir up that joy within you. Meditate the Word. Replace wrong thoughts with God's thoughts. And enjoy the victory!

Scripture Study: Isaiah 51:11-16

11 So the ransomed of the Lord shall return,
And come to Zion with singing,
With everlasting joy on their heads.
They shall obtain joy and gladness;
Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
12 “I, even I, am He who comforts you.
Who are you that you should be afraid
Of a man who will die,
And of the son of a man who will be made like grass?
13 And you forget the Lord your Maker,
Who stretched out the heavens
And laid the foundations of the earth;
You have feared continually every day
Because of the fury of the oppressor,
When he has prepared to destroy.
And where is the fury of the oppressor?
14 The captive exile hastens, that he may be loosed,
That he should not die in the pit,
And that his bread should not fail.
15 But I am the Lord your God,
Who divided the sea whose waves roared—
The Lord of hosts is His name.
16 And I have put My words in your mouth;
I have covered you with the shadow of My hand,
That I may plant the heavens,
Lay the foundations of the earth,
And say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’”

Choose Friends Wisely

Choose Friends Wisely
"I wrote you in my [previous] letter not to associate(closely and habitually) with unchaste (impure) people."(1 Corinthians 5:9)
Dear Mr Hayim Otsarya,
The company you keep has such an influence on your spiritual life. Fellowshipping with godly people will help speed you on to victory, while fellowshipping with those who are ungodly will drag you down to defeat.

That's why the Bible has some things to say about your friends. That's why it tells you to separate yourself from the world. Because evil companions will corrupt you.

Now, I'm not talking about ministry. Jesus Himself ministered to sinners. You have to mix with them to preach to them and pray for them. What I'm talking about here are the people you choose for friends.

If you want to walk in the things of the Lord, don't choose friends who walk in the things of the devil, people who talk and act ungodly, who don't give God any place in their lives. They'll pull you down. As you rub shoulders with them, you'll expose yourself to temptation. You'll get so familiar with sin it will start to appear less repulsive to you. Sooner or later, you'll fall into it.

So choose your friends wisely. Fellowship with those who call on the Name of the Lord out of a pure heart (2 Tim. 2:22-
So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. ). Expose yourself to their love and peace. Let their faith rub off on you!

Scripture Study: 1 Corinthians 5:9-13

I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— 10 not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. 11 But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one. 12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church[a] whom you are to judge? 13 God judges[b] those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.”

“I Will Hunger After Righteousness”

“I Will Hunger After Righteousness”

Today's Verse:
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” - Matthew 5:6 (NASB)

When you’re hungry, that’s all you think about. Every commercial, every billboard, every fast food store calls out your name.  It seems that food is all you can think about. When you finally do get to eat, it just seems to taste a little better when you are hungry.

Jesus promises that when we hunger after righteousness, we will be satisfied. Righteousness is a right standing with God or rightness. The only way we can live righteously is to live in unbroken fellowship with Christ. It is not about working more, or trying harder. Righteousness is the gift Jesus gave us on the cross. The Bible says that God put His righteousness in us!

Today as you pray, seek after God’s presence in your life today. Ask God to show you that the only true satisfaction in life is found in an intimate relationship with Him.

Sample Prayer:
Father, today help me to have a hunger for You. Help me to realize that you have put me in right standing by your death on the cross. Let me see that You have placed “rightness” within me. Today, help me to live like the person you have made me to be. I pray that I will seek after no other satisfaction than in my relationship with You.
In Jesus Name,

Amen

"You are More Than a Conqueror"

"You are More Than a Conqueror"

Today's Verse:
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” - Romans 8:37(ESV)

What a powerful promise. Take a moment and read it again. In ALL things we are More than Conquerors.  Wow, we are conquers, in all things! Through Christ, we have been made victors. We are not only conquerors, but more than conquerors. Whatever issue we are facing today, we are more than conquerors! Whatever challenge and problem we face - we are more than conquerors!

I pray that you will see that you are not a victim, but a victor. I ask God to open your heart to see that He is fighting your battles for you. You are more than a conqueror because the One who saved you and gave you the Gift of The Holy Spirit's Presence is the One who is fighting for you.

Sample Prayer:
Father, I am claiming Romans 8:37 for myself! I thank You that the battles and challenges I face today have already been won by  Jesus Christ. He is fighting for me, and He has made me more than a conqueror. I am not a victim, but as one who is more than a conqueror. Thank You that You not only saved me, but You walk with me, and fight for me day-by-day.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

" I Will Abide In You"

Today's Verse: “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.” - John 15:4
Earlier in this chapter Jesus tells us that He is the vine and we are the branches. The vine supplies everything the branch needs for life and growth. Jesus tells us that unless we are abiding in Him we will never please God.

To abide means to make yourself at home. Abiding implies staying a while. Those who learn to abide, connect with God on a daily basis. Abiding means we walk with Him in a moment-by-moment relationship.

Sample Prayer:
Father, help me to rest in You today. The source of my strength is You. Help me to remember that the Faith life is not about performance, but about relationship with You. I will make myself at home with You, and allow You to completely fill me. Remind me today that the only way to please You, is to allow Your Spirit free reign in my life.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

I declare that today I will abide in Christ. I will look to Christ for strength, wisdom, and peace. I please God as by Faith and In The Name Of Jesus I allow His Holy Spirit free reign in my life and I am being obedient to His voice. Today, I am walking with God on a moment-by-moment basis.

“Take Every Thought Captive”

“Take Every Thought Captive”

Today's Verse:
“We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,”- 2 Corinthians 10:5 (NASB)
Sample Prayer:

Father, I pray and declare that I will control my thinking by taking every thought captive. I declare that every thought I have today will be made subject to Christ. I pray that I will test every thought against my obedience to Christ. I have the mind of Christ.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

Beloved, today I am praying that you take every thought captive. When Satan whispers in your ear thoughts of bitterness, unforgiveness, jealousy, and the like, I am praying you reject them and claim the promise that God has given you the mind of Christ. I was reminded today that our actions are simply the results of what we think about. I am pray you test every thought today and bring them under the submission of Christ.
